A camp is your own small territory. There the server protects your builds. The wilderness has no protection.

## Size

A camp covers four chunks, that is 32 × 32 blocks, over the full height. You have one camp.

## Create a camp

1. Stand where your camp should be.
2. Type `/camp` and choose **Create camp**.
3. Check the border preview.
4. Choose **Create** or **Cancel**.

You cannot create a camp everywhere. The game tells you if it is not possible here.

## Distances

Measured horizontally from border to border.

- to spawn: at least 512 blocks
- to other camps: no minimum, camps may border each other directly
- to cities, outposts and sold plots: at least 64 blocks

Camps only exist in the Overworld.

## Show borders

- `/camp view` shows the borders.
- `/camp edit` starts edit mode.
- `/camp off` hides the borders.

Only you see the borders. If you move far away, they hide.

## Residents

`/camp add <player>` adds a resident. Manage them under **Residents** in `/camp`.

## Permissions

Under **Permissions** you set what each group may do. The groups are:

- residents
- friends
- party members
- clan members
- visitors

These permissions exist:

- place blocks
- break blocks
- open chests and other containers
- use doors and trapdoors
- operate switches and redstone
- interact with animals
- place spawners
- use spawners
- manage other players' graves

If several groups match, their permissions apply together. Changes only apply after saving and confirming.

## TNT and PvP

Under **TNT and PvP** you turn both on or off. Both are off until you turn them on. TNT damage stays inside your camp. PvP across a border only works if both sides allow fights.

## Give up your camp

In `/camp` choose **Give up camp**. The land becomes wilderness again.
